rights of memory: 9/11 and the "ground-zero mosque"

these are a 3 poster series that barbara borges and i collaborated on for a conference that is coming up in a little over a week. the senior graphic design class at rutgers is helping organize a public dialogue that will talk about this current "ground-zero mosque" issue. we are doing the advertising for it, website, t-shirts, brochures, and all modes of creative communication to help promote the conference and get people to think about important questions.

more info to follow with this in the very near future... but for now, here are the posters:

blackbeard's cave

this is just one part of a big project i'm working on... a hint of what else there is to come. it's a complete rebranding of this amusement park, blackbeard's cave, and this would be one of t-shirts they would sell or use as staff shirt.

i made my own type for this too :)

need some type inspiration?

i stumbled upon a website, bestphotoshoptutorials.net looking for photoshop tutorials... and someone posted on this site 40 examples of beautiful typography in advertising design. they're pretty cool. i felt inspired :)

here are a few of my favorites, and for the rest of the 40 click the second link above. enjoy!
